The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a lazy right hand but The Wise sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice straight punches there by The Wise. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of The Wise.
The Wise tries to close the distance and clinch but Evans swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Evans throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The Wise tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Evans counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Evans throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Evans misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Evans is looking to slow The Wise down with leg kicks.
Evans misses with a few strikes there.
Evans keeps the fight on the outside.
The Wise checks a low kick from Evans.
Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by The Wise.

The Wise tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Evans paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Evans throws a right hand that The Wise ducks under and follows up with a left that The Wise also avoids with ease.
Evans scores with a jab to the head.
Evans takes a swing at The Wise's ribcage but misses.
Evans fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Evans thows a left - swing and a miss!
Evans circles away from the clinch attempt
and Evans counters with a stiff right hand.
No joy there for Evans, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Colin Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Wise is looking to clinch but Evans is avoiding it.
Evans lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Evans throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and The Wise counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Evans is trying to get back to full guard.
The Wise is thwarting Evans's attempts to control the position.
Evans is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Evans is positioning himself well to prevent The Wise advancing to mount.
The Wise looks to land a strike but Evans avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The Wise won't allow Evans to sweep him here.
The Wise wants to stand but Evans is controlling his posture from full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Evans wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The Wise closes the distance but Evans moves to the side
and Evans connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The Wise scores with a jab. Evans acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The Wise lands a jab.
Evans moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Yuroslav The Wise has been cut.
Evans connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Evans loads up on a big right hand but The Wise slips the punch.
The Wise shoots and misses
enabling Evans to counter with a crisp jab.
The Wise looks gassed!
Evans throws a series of punches but The Wise moves out of range.

Evans falls off balance throwing a combination
and The Wise counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The Wise avoids the body shot from Evans.
The Wise looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Evans counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Colin Evans is winning the standup battle so far.
The Wise is breathing heavily.
Evans throws a nice looking combination but The Wise bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Evans walks forward and throws a big overhand right! The Wise drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Evans swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from The Wise's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
