Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorjao Buxudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoban Washburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buxudo comes to the ring accompanied by Avassaladores - Sou Foda. Washburn has chosen Magic Carpet Ride as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Buxudo enables Washburn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Buxudo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Washburn trying to control but Buxudo is working from the bottom.
Buxudo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Washburn!
Washburn tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Buxudo wants to control the pace but Washburn is squirming around nicely.
Washburn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Washburn throws a strike but Buxudo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Washburn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Washburn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Buxudo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Washburn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Buxudo is proving hard to escape from.

Washburn tries to free his leg and advance position but Buxudo is retaining full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Washburn wants to control from the top but Buxudo keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hoban Washburn.
Washburn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buxudo quickly recovers to half guard.
Washburn is stalling here. Buxudo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Washburn seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Buxudo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round but I would say that Jorjao Buxudo will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

so Washburn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Buxudo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Washburn tries to roll over but Buxudo keeps him under control.
Washburn has one foot on Buxudo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Buxudo throws a right and a left that both miss.

Washburn content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Buxudo has locked up a guillotine! Buxudo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Washburn is holding on here and Buxudo must be using up a lot of energy. Washburn has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Buxudo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
