Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gastly Gengar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyah Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gengar comes to the ring accompanied by Major Lazer - Pon De Floor . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gastly Gengar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kiyah Matsumoto!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gengar tests Matsumoto's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Matsumoto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Matsumoto throws a lazy uppercut
and Gengar counters with a nice uppercut.
Gengar tries to land a front kick but Matsumoto steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Gengar throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Matsumoto misses with a jab to the body
and Matsumoto takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gengar misses with the combination.
Matsumoto misses the shot to the body.

Matsumoto decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Matsumoto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gengar is just riding it out for now. Matsumoto eventually gives up the hold.
Matsumoto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gengar keeps working.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Matsumoto pushes down on Gengar's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Matsumoto lands a nice shot to the head.
Matsumoto can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gengar is looking to escape.

Gengar looks to land a left hand but Matsumoto moved out of range nicely.

Gengar connects with a good right hand that stumbles Matsumoto. Matsumoto circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Matsumoto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gengar moves away.

Gengar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Matsumoto throws and elbow that misses. Gengar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Matsumoto's guard. Nice move by Gengar!

Gengar is looking to work some ground and pound but Matsumoto has wrist control.
Matsumoto is trying to control the position but Gengar postures up.
Gengar won't allow Matsumoto to sweep him here.

Gengar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Matsumoto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Matsumoto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Matsumoto!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Matsumoto is thwarting Gengar's attempts to control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Matsumoto is looking to control Gengar's arms but Gengar gets an underhook and turns him. Now Matsumoto has his back to the ropes.
Gengar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Matsumoto walks away with a smile on his face. Gengar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
