Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lightning Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jay Z - Moment of Clarity kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diago Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lightning Storm! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sanchez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Storm on the side of the head. Storm misses with a wild combination.
Storm comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Storm throws a nice inside leg kick. Storm gets tackled into the cage by Sanchez. Sanchez maintains the clinch. Sanchez displaying some good clinch control by pressing Storm up against the cage. Sanchez can't break the clinch.

Sanchez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Storm tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Storm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sanchez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Sanchez dives in and grabs Storm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Storm pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out. Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Storm moves away. Storm feints and then cracks Sanchez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sanchez down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crunch! Storm slams his shin into Sanchez's torso. Sanchez connects with a looping right hand.
Storm lands with a nice combination. Sanchez backs away looking to recover. Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Storm counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sanchez's knee momentarily. Sanchez misses with a body shot.
Storm misses with a wild body shot. Storm explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Storm lands with a kick to the ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Storm fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sanchez. Sanchez drops his hands momentarily and Storm takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Storm throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm misses the jab. Storm swings for the body but Sanchez moves out of range.
Sanchez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diago Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Storm lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sanchez's sensitive parts. Lightning Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez digs a good hook to Storm's body.
Storm lands a leg kick that knocks Sanchez off balance momentarily. Storm gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sanchez to score an easy takedown into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Storm bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard. Storm wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is looking for a triangle but Storm pushes his legs off easily.
Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Storm defends it easily. Storm really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Storm gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Storm can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez has a closed guard, preventing Storm from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lightning Storm dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Storm fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sanchez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Storm misses the body punch and Sanchez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Storm lands with a right hand. Sanchez tries to clinch there but Storm circles away.
Storm connects with a right hand. Sanchez shakes it off. Sanchez throws a half hearted mid kick. Storm misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Sanchez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sanchez moves into the clinch. Sanchez makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Storm slows down the pace here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm keeps control of Sanchez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Storm is trying to stall.

Storm stalling in the clinch but Sanchez improves position. Storm scores with a shot to the side of Sanchez's head. Sanchez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Storm pulls his leg out and moves away.
A right-left combo lands from Storm. Storm takes a swing at Sanchez's ribcage but misses. Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diago Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. A left and a right from Storm both land. Nice combination. Sanchez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Sanchez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Storm shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sanchez takes a jab right on the kisser.

Sanchez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Storm is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sanchez rather than just go for the knockout. Storm misses with a straight left. Some wild striking there from Storm.
Sanchez throws a body punch but Storm moves out of range. Sanchez is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Sanchez scores with the left hand. Storm knows he should have avoided that one. Storm throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanchez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Storm attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Storm thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sanchez if he has to take too many more of those.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez shoots in but no luck this time. Lightning Storm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Storm lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sanchez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sanchez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm keeps the fight on the outside. Storm displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez. Sanchez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Storm throws a jab but it's blocked by Sanchez. A slapping leg kick lands for Storm.
Storm displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sanchez throws out the jab. Storm with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sanchez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Storm throws an off balance right hand
and Sanchez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sanchez. Sanchez tries to score a body lock takedown but Storm shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Sanchez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Storm will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sanchez up against the cage. Storm breaks from the clinch.
Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt. Lightning Storm seems to be getting the better of the standup. Storm defending well as Sanchez loads up on a big left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Storm throws a leg kick but Sanchez moved away. A jab from Storm finds it's way through Sanchez's defenses. Storm paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Storm lands with a good body shot. Sanchez takes a kick to the side of the head. A looping hook to the body misses from Storm. Sanchez does a little dance to reset his feet. Sanchez misses the shot to the body. Sanchez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Storm. Sanchez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Storm counters with a nice leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice defenses there by Sanchez. Sanchez moves out of range as Storm strikes. Sanchez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sanchez lands in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lightning Storm showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Storm feints a jab promting Sanchez to slip. Storm then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sanchez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Storm. Storm cracks Sanchez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Storm clobbers Sanchez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Storm does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Storm, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Storm against the cage but Storm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A head kick by Sanchez misses and Storm counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A punch lands to the side of Storm 's head but he takes it in his stride. Sanchez looks to land a body kick but Storm moved away. Storm tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Storm throws a leg kick that is checked and Sanchez counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Storm rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez tries to clinch but Storm is having none of it. Storm throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Storm scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Sanchez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Storm. Sanchez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Storm. That one must have hurt. Sanchez throws a shot to the body.
Storm cracks Sanchez with a right hand to the side of the head. Sanchez shoots in and drives through. Storm sprawls well. Storm throws a series of punches but Sanchez moves out of range. Sanchez tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Storm throws a lazy right hand but Sanchez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sanchez tries to bum rush Storm with a series of wild strikes but Storm uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Storm swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Storm lands a nice shot to the body.

Diago Sanchez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sanchez. That did some damage! Storm takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Storm sizes up Sanchez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. A swing and a miss from Storm. Sanchez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Storm manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Storm. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diago Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanchez tries to clinch up but Storm circles away and keeps his distance. Storm lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Storm takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Storm counters with a thumping low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Storm scores with a hook. A telegraphed right hand from Storm misses the target. Storm pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Sanchez pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Storm throws a right and a left that Sanchez avoids nicely. Storm thuds his right hand into Sanchez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Sanchez scores with a hook to the body. Storm takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sanchez ducks under a wild hook from Storm. Sanchez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Good work by Sanchez as he checks the leg kick. Storm pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sanchez is out of range and Storm settles back down. Storm misses with a body punch
and Sanchez counters with a good low kick that Storm was not able to check.
