Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Lavelle!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Lavelle or perhaps it was just good defense by Petrov which made him look bad.
A combination from Lavelle does no damage.
Lavelle shoots in and gets a takedown into Petrov's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Lavelle throwing strikes from guard but Petrov blocks nicely.

Lavelle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Petrov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Aleksey Petrov just wasn't active enough.
Lavelle throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Lavelle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lavelle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lavelle avoids the attempt from Petrov to control.
Lavelle swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Petrov is now in Lavelle's guard. A big mistake from Lavelle there, giving up the dominant position!
Lavelle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

It looks like Aleksey Petrov has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petrov tries to lock up and control but Lavelle gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lavelle swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Petrov is now in Lavelle's guard. A big mistake from Lavelle there, giving up the dominant position!

Petrov has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lavelle has passed into side control.

Lavelle throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Petrov is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lavelle cracks Petrov with a big elbow.
Aleksey Petrov's cut is getting worse.
Lavelle scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Petrov to see if he's OK.
Lavelle is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Petrov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Lavelle gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Petrov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Lavelle lets go of the hold and Petrov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
