Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Pender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Haiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Haiko has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dean Pender's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Haiko!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haiko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pender shoots in looking for a takedown. Haiko tries to sprawl out of it but Pender keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Haiko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Haiko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pender swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pender changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Haiko fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Haiko throws a nice looking combination but Pender bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Haiko is looking to stand up but Pender isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dean Pender.

Pender gets control of Haiko's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pender will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pender bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haiko's guard.
Pender will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
