The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson wants to control but Fertitta is keeping him busy.
Fertitta controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
It looks like Johnson is going to stand back up.
Johnson wants to pass to mount but Fertitta is defending the position.
Fertitta regains full guard. Nicely done.
Johnson won't allow Fertitta to sweep him here.

Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fertitta swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fertitta is looking to sinch up a triangle. Johnson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Fertitta's body to avoid the submission. Fertitta has instead reached around Johnson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Fertitta arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
