Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Melchior Ghazni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ready Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ghazni comes to the cage accompanied by E-type Megamix . Melchior Ghazni has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Melchior Ghazni!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Ready Go!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghazni fails with the takedown
and Go counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ghazni tries to clinch but Go moves away
enabling Go to counter with a crisp jab.

Go closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Go lands in his opponent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ghazni is on top in guard.
Ghazni pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Go is keeping the position for now.
Go is pulling down on Ghazni's head to control his posture.

Ghazni has gone for a leg lock! Go slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ghazni's guard.
Go is stalling in the full guard.
Ghazni looking to hit a scissor sweep but Go is one step ahead there.
Go stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ghazni swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Go must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Go working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ghazni's head.
Go engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Ghazni working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Go doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Go manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ghazni is looking to regain half guard here but Go keeps moving and retains side control.
Ghazni takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Go shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ghazni napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Go takes a little break here. Ghazni wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Let's hope that Go has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Go wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ghazni keeps working.
Ghazni is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Go off and has taken his back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Go wants to control from the top but Ghazni keeps moving.

Ghazni is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ghazni will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Ready Go showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ghazni changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Go looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ghazni is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Go is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ghazni goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Go rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ghazni's guard! Nice work there by Go!

Ghazni is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ghazni has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Go is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ghazni.
Ghazni gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Go's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Well Go has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
