Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Iker Bengoetxea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Teskixio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vladimir Teskixio!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bengoetxea fails to land the takedown.
Bengoetxea tries to clinch but Teskixio moves out of range.

Teskixio shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Bengoetxea is desperately trying to improve his position but Teskixio has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Teskixio swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bengoetxea is now in Teskixio's guard. A big mistake from Teskixio there, giving up the dominant position!

Teskixio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bengoetxea. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Iker Bengoetxea has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Teskixio rushes Bengoetxea and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

and Teskixio counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Teskixio should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Bengoetxea trying to keep a closed guard but Teskixio is proving a slippery customer.

Bengoetxea has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Teskixio off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Teskixio looks gassed!

Teskixio instigates a clinch.
Bengoetxea prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bengoetxea jumps guard and drags Teskixio to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Teskixio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bengoetxea has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Teskixio has managed to get both his arms back between Bengoetxea's legs - danger averted.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bengoetxea wants to stand but Teskixio is controlling the position.
Bengoetxea will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Teskixio wants to control from the top but Bengoetxea keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Teskixio dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Sloppy strikes from Bengoetxea. Those never looked like landing.
Bengoetxea tries to land a leg kick but Teskixio saw it coming and moves away.

Teskixio is breathing heavily.

Bengoetxea not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bengoetxea thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bengoetxea controls Teskixio momentarily but Teskixio frees himself.
Teskixio controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bengoetxea wants to stand but Teskixio is controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vladimir Teskixio.
Bengoetxea wants to clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Teskixio wants to clinch.
Teskixio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Teskixio wants it to stay on the feet.
Iker Bengoetxea is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
