The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dakota throws a jab but it's blocked by Hayabusa.
Hayabusa shoots in for a takedown but Dakota shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hayabusa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hayabusa wants to clinch.
Hayabusa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dakota circles away.
Dakota scores with the left hand. Hayabusa knows he should have avoided that one.
Dakota misses with a hook.
Dakota scores with a jab. Hayabusa acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Hayabusa clinches with his opponent.

Dakota seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Dakota breaks the clinch.

Dakota throws a body punch but Hayabusa moves out of range.
Hayabusa throws a sloppy head kick and Dakota moves out of range easily.
Hayabusa tries to clinch up but Dakota circles away and keeps his distance.

Dakota leaves Hayabusa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Trey Dakota has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hanzo Hayabusa.
Dakota pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hayabusa back to the cage. Dakota follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Hanzo Hayabusa has been cut.
Dakota scores with a hook to the body. Hayabusa takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Trey Dakota is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hayabusa.
Dakota lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hayabusa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Dakota throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hayabusa dives in and grabs Dakota's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dakota pushes down on Hayabusa's head and hops out.
Hayabusa looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dakota fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hayabusa on the side of the head.

Hayabusa is rocked!
Dakota really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Dakota moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Hayabusa! Dakota continues to tee off on Hayabusa, landing with a left and a right! Dakota connects with a right hand that leaves Hayabusa sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Dakota!
