Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robin Buesching (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres has chosen airplanes as his entrance music. Robin Buesching could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Javier Torres 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robin Buesching! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Javier Torres ! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buesching tries to clinch up. Buesching gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Torres tries to improve position but can't. Torres is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Torres bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Torres defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Buesching. Buesching throws a sloppy head kick and Torres moves out of range easily. Torres swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Buesching. Torres tries to clinch up but Buesching circles away and keeps his distance. Buesching tries to clinch up so Torres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Torres trying to control but Buesching is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buesching is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Torres controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Torres slips nicely into half guard. Torres not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Torres controlling the action here. Torres is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Buesching defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buesching is trying to control but can't.
Buesching is looking to escape. Buesching is trying to get back to full guard. Torres not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Torres is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Torres looks gassed! Torres is just content to waste time from the top position. Buesching takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres is looking to advance position but Buesching has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Torres is trying desperately to improve position. Buesching is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Torres tries a head kick but it misses.
That kick from Buesching tenderised Torres 's leg. Torres is trying to keep his angry face on. Buesching closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Torres to the mat! Torres manages to get full guard. Torres is trying to control the position but Buesching postures up. Buesching pushes down on Torres 's leg and manages to get into half guard. Torres on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Buesching is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Torres is just riding it out for now. Buesching eventually gives up the hold. Buesching throwing shots but Torres is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Robin Buesching will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Buesching misses with a takedown attempt and Torres counters with a body kick that stops Buesching in his tracks momentarily. Torres gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Torres fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Buesching escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Torres gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Robin Buesching overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Torres not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Buesching wants to stand but Torres is controlling his posture from full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Buesching in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Buesching might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres keeping full guard, as Buesching tries to pass. Buesching is working hard here to advance position. Torres is looking to sweep but instead, Buesching has passed into half guard.
Buesching seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Torres has recovered full guard. Buesching with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buesching working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Buesching throwing strikes but missing. Buesching slips nicely into half guard. Buesching tries to pass to full mount but Torres defends it. Torres trying to hold on to Buesching's head to control him but Buesching postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buesching throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Torres is trying to control but can't.
Torres is defending against the submission attempts here by Buesching.
Buesching lands with a punch from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buesching wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torres keeps working. Still in half guard, Buesching seems content to control. Torres is looking to escape. Buesching seems to be working for a kimura but Torres defends the submission attempt. Buesching stands up out of the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robin Buesching dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Buesching is trying hard to land a takedown here. Torres sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Torres blocks a head kick by Buesching.
Buesching shoots in for a double leg but Torres sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Torres throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Torres moves out of range of the leg kick from Buesching. No luck for Buesching with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robin Buesching. That's going to take a lot out of him. Torres is looking to clinch. Torres clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Torres just leaning against Buesching, taking a breather. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Torres is trying to drag Buesching to the mat but Buesching just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Torres is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Buesching with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Torres tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Buesching smiles and moves away.
Buesching looks to clinch and Torres counters with a flying knee. Nice. Buesching displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Torres . Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Buesching. Torres shrugs it off though. Buesching feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Torres controls Buesching momentarily but Buesching frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buesching drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Buesching jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Torres managing to control the position. Buesching thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres looking for a sweep. Not yet Torres , not yet. Buesching has gone for a leg lock! Torres slips out almost immediately though and dives into Buesching's guard. Torres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Buesching swivels though and keeps the full guard. Buesching controls Torres momentarily but Torres frees himself. Buesching looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buesching throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Torres working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Buesching throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Torres escapes and throws Buesching's legs to the side, diving into side control! Torres landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Buesching defending against the ground and pound. Javier Torres has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Robin Buesching is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Buesching manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Robin Buesching showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buesching, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
