Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alessio Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximus has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alessio Maximus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick McCarthy!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Maximus.
McCarthy tries to clinch but Maximus is having none of it.
McCarthy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Maximus is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
McCarthy stops Maximus from getting back to his feet.
McCarthy moves into full mount! Maximus won't be happy about that!
Maximus is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Maximus is breathing heavily.
McCarthy trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McCarthy looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Maximus takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McCarthy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Maximus is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Maximus and McCarthy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
McCarthy trying to control the position but Maximus is working away.

McCarthy tries for a kimura but Maximus is defending well.
McCarthy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McCarthy advances to full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McCarthy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Maximus is now in McCarthy's guard. A big mistake from McCarthy there, giving up the dominant position!
McCarthy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McCarthy lands with some strikes.
McCarthy looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maximus really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Maximus has left one of his arms exposed and McCarthy doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Maximus screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
