Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Danielson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaleo Aingeru ! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aingeru has managed to clinch.
Danielson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Aingeru can't get the takedown.
Aingeru successfully pulls guard.
Aingeru has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aingeru can do anything to dispel that myth. Aingeru tries to land a sweep but no joy. Aingeru trying to control the position here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aingeru is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Danielson's half guard. Aingeru not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aingeru wants to work for an arm triangle but Danielson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Aingeru controlling the action here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aingeru connects with a nice short shot to Danielson's temple. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Aingeru in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Danielson is defending against the submission attempts here by Aingeru .
Aingeru slips a nice elbow through Danielson's hands, connecting with Danielson's forehead. Aingeru lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aingeru trying to control the pace. Danielson won't allow Aingeru to pass to mount. Aingeru not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Kaleo Aingeru hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Aingeru misses with a two punch combination.

An inside leg kick from Aingeru misses. Aingeru rushes Danielson and presses him up against the cage. Aingeru is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Aingeru jumps guard but Danielson stands there with Aingeru around his waist. Aingeru gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Aingeru jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Danielson walks away with a smile on his face. Aingeru gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Alex Danielson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaleo Aingeru . Aingeru fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aingeru looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Danielson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Aingeru to score an easy takedown into full guard. Aingeru keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Danielson's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaleo Aingeru dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Aingeru is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Aingeru looks for the body kick but Danielson saw that one coming. Aingeru drives through and clinches with Danielson against the cage.

Aingeru wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Aingeru looking for a takedown. Aingeru has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Danielson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Aingeru dodges an elbow strike from Danielson.
Danielson has Aingeru pressed against the cage, preventing Aingeru from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Aingeru tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Danielson smiles and moves away.

Danielson darts in trying to clinch and Aingeru counters with a shoot takedown. Danielson fights it but they end up in guard. Danielson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aingeru working some strikes from top position. Aingeru won't allow Danielson to get back to his feet. Aingeru controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Aingeru forces his way into half guard. Aingeru looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Danielson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Danielson wants to get back to his feet.
Aingeru seems to be working for a kimura but Danielson defends the submission attempt. Aingeru prevents Danielson from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Aingeru trying to control the action but Danielson is working from the bottom. Aingeru stops Danielson from getting back to his feet.
Aingeru performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Aingeru is stalling here. Danielson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Aingeru seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Danielson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kaleo Aingeru has got the better of the ground game so far. Danielson stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaleo Aingeru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Aingeru circles away from the clinch attempt and Aingeru counters with a nice double leg into guard. Aingeru trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Aingeru is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Aingeru keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Danielson's head. Aingeru not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Danielson is looking to stand up but Aingeru isn't so interested in that idea. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kaleo Aingeru has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Aingeru bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Danielson stops Aingeru from passing to mount. Aingeru controls the position from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aingeru wants to take a breather but Danielson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Aingeru . Aingeru chips away with some ground and pound. Aingeru lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Danielson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aingeru controls the pace. Danielson wants to get back to his feet but Aingeru is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Danielson being controlled here, momentarily. Danielson wants to stand but Aingeru is controlling the position. Aingeru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Danielson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alex Danielson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aingeru wants to control from the top but Danielson keeps moving. Aingeru chips away with some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Kaleo Aingeru comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Aingeru winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
