Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Cassius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cecilio Bernardino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bernardino comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Ultimate Fix by Ugress kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Maximus Cassius has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maximus Cassius! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cecilio Bernardino! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bernardino lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Cassius shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bernardino as he avoids it easily. Bernardino tries to clinch there but Cassius circles away.
Cassius gets a takedown into half guard. Cassius looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cassius is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cassius is looking to advance position but Bernardino won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cassius is working for a submission of some sort.
Cassius is breathing heavily. Cassius is working for a kimura but Bernardino is defending it quite comfortably.
Bernardino is trying to maintain the position but Cassius is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bernardino is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cassius. Horrible takedown by Cassius or perhaps it was just good defense by Bernardino which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximus Cassius. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cassius moves out of range of the strikes. Cassius closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cassius lands in his opponent's guard. Cassius tries to free his leg and advance position but Bernardino is retaining full guard. Bernardino has Cassius pulled in close to control his posture. That's three minutes gone in the round. Cassius passes into half guard. Cassius passes the guard and advances to mount! Cassius moves to the back position. Bernardino trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Bernardino is trying to get back to his feet but Cassius has full control of the position and if anything, Bernardino has just worked his way into a worse spot. Cassius is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Bernardino with him. Bernardino is trying to defend but Cassius has an arm under the chin now! Bernardino grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Maximus Cassius!
