The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gif wants to clinch but Eltsov slips to the side
and Eltsov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Fig Gif has been cut.
Gif darts in trying to clinch
and Eltsov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gif misses with a head kick.
Eltsov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Eltsov fails to land the takedown.
Eltsov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gif as he avoids it easily.
Fig Gif has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viacheslav Eltsov.

and Eltsov counters with a straight right hand.

and Eltsov counters with a one-two to the body.
Fig Gif seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Eltsov shoots in looking for a takedown. Gif tries to sprawl out of it but Eltsov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gif manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gif stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gif wants it to stay on the feet.

Gif closes the distance but Eltsov moves to the side
and Eltsov counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Gif is staying active underneath Eltsov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gif is looking to escape.
Eltsov works his way into side control.
Gif could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gif pushes Eltsov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Eltsov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

and Eltsov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Eltsov looks to land a combination but Gif avoids it well.

and Eltsov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Eltsov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eltsov is looking to take a break and control but Gif is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Eltsov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Nice takedown defense from Gif. No joy for Eltsov on that attempt.
No joy there for Eltsov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Eltsov counters with a shoot takedown. Gif fights it but they end up in guard.

Eltsov is pushing down on Gif's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gif is fighting to maintain full guard but Eltsov has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Viacheslav Eltsov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Eltsov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Eltsov shoots for a double leg takedown but Gif sprawls well. He's pushed Eltsov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gif moves into the clinch.
Gif lands an elbow inside that Eltsov shrugs off.
Eltsov avoids a wild elbow strike from Gif.
Gif pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Gif lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Eltsov goes for a takedown attempt but Gif pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fig Gif has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viacheslav Eltsov.

and Eltsov counters with a three punch combo that has Gif backing up. Gif nods at Eltsov to acknowledge the strikes.

and Eltsov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eltsov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gif avoids it really well and circles away.

Eltsov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gif sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eltsov somewhat.
Gif wants to clinch but Eltsov slips to the side
and Eltsov counters with a two punch combo.
Eltsov darts in and clinches Gif up against the cage.

Eltsov blocks an elbow strike from Gif.
Eltsov is trying to trip Gif. He has hold of a leg but Gif is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Eltsov persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gif wants to stand but Eltsov is controlling the position.
Eltsov stays in close to Gif's body and controls the position.
Eltsov passes Gif's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Eltsov slows the pace down in half guard.
Eltsov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Eltsov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Gif pushes Eltsov off looking to stand but Eltsov dives back in and keeps control.
Fig Gif has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Viacheslav Eltsov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
