The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beauford darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Beauford wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torres keeps working.
Beauford is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Beauford is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Torres reverses the position - he's now on top in Beauford's guard.
Beauford looking for subs off his back but Torres has passed one foot through into half guard.
Beauford looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Beauford slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Beauford working a defensive guard but Torres passes into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres wants to control from the top but Beauford keeps moving.
Torres might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Beauford kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Torres drops back, looking for a kneebar! Beauford looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Beauford looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Beauford!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Torres struggling a bit here.
Beauford is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Torres looks calm but he's in trouble here. Beauford gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Torres is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Beauford lets go of the hold and Torres can pop his arm back in it's socket.
