Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Uki Goshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Blue acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Uki Goshi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, John Blue! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goshi swats away the attempt to clinch by Blue. Blue misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blue chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Goshi can pounce on him.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Blue. Goshi misses with a head kick.
Goshi cracks the inside of Blue's front leg. Blue throws a lazy head kick and Goshi counters with a low kick, right behind Blue 's knee. Goshi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Uki Goshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blue showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Goshi.
Goshi feints and then cracks Blue's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blue down. Goshi has closed the distance and engaged Blue in a clinch.
Goshi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Blue throws a left and a right that both miss
and Goshi counters with a nice body kick.
Goshi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Danga de danga de dang - Goshi scores with a four punch combination! Blue throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Goshi counters with a flying knee. Nice. Blue throws a right and a left that both miss. Blue tries to close the distance and clinch up but Goshi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Goshi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Goshi lands in his opponent's guard. Goshi slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goshi is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Blue reverses the position - he's now on top in Goshi's guard. Blue wants to stand but Goshi has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blue looks gassed! Goshi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Goshi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goshi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blue trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Blue won't allow Goshi to get back to his feet. Goshi looking to control but Blue passes into half guard.

Blue moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Goshi. Blue trying to control the action but Goshi is working from the bottom. Goshi is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goshi gets back to half guard. Goshi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Blue. Goshi trying to control here.
Blue trying to control from half guard but Goshi is working away. Blue passes the guard and advances to mount! Blue landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Blue looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Blue tries to control but Goshi wriggling away. Goshi is trying desperately to improve position. Goshi is squirming around, avoiding Blue's attempts to control the action. Blue stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Blue tries to close the distance and clinch but Goshi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Blue goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Blue throws a right hand that Goshi ducks under and follows up with a left that Goshi also avoids with ease. Goshi misses with a combination
and Blue counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uki Goshi dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Goshi lands a high kick!
Goshi closes the distance and clinches. Goshi breaks from the clinch.
Blue fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Goshi. Goshi lands with a kick to the temple. Blue shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Blue throws a body kick the misses and Goshi counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Blue's guard now. Blue thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Goshi throwing strikes but missing. Goshi is looking to stand up but Blue won't let him. Goshi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Goshi is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Goshi wants to pass the guard but Blue is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blue bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goshi's guard. Blue landing with the ground and pound. Goshi has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Blue has passed into side control.
Blue decides to stand back up. Blue tries to clinch there but Goshi circles away.

Blue takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Uki Goshi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Goshi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Goshi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Goshi controlling his opponent. Goshi fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goshi landing strikes from the mount and Blue is in trouble! Goshi scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Blue?
Blue regains half guard. Blue wants to control but Goshi is keeping busy.
Goshi is looking to advance position but Blue won't allow it. Blue is looking to control Goshi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Blue avoid being mounted? Goshi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blue keeps working. Goshi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blue's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blue wants to control but Goshi is keeping busy.
Goshi moves into full mount! Blue won't be happy about that! Blue is working to get back to half guard.
Goshi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Goshi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Blue is now in Goshi's guard. A big mistake from Goshi there, giving up the dominant position! Goshi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Goshi striking off his back but it's not causing Blue any problems.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goshi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Blue frees his head nicely. Oh but Goshi has switched to an armbar! Blue is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
