Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eli Quintillus !
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quintillus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aonghus was well out of range. Poor timing from Quintillus .
Quintillus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Quintillus .
Quintillus tries to advance to mount but Aonghus denies him.
Aonghus manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Quintillus seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Quintillus takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aonghus wants to get back to full guard.
Quintillus is taking a breather. Aonghus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Aonghus wants to get back to full guard.
Quintillus is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Aonghus won't allow Quintillus to pass to mount.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Eli Quintillus hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Quintillus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aonghus did well to prevent Quintillus getting side control.
Aonghus could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Quintillus is looking to advance position but Aonghus won't allow it.

Quintillus drops an elbow to the side of Aonghus 's head.
Aonghus tries to get to full guard but Quintillus has control of the leg.

It looks like Stian Aonghus has been cut.
Quintillus lands a big elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Aonghus is in a horrible position here. Quintillus smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Quintillus landing strikes, looking to finish!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quintillus lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Quintillus controlling from mount.
Quintillus postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Aonghus looks a forlorn figure.


Stian Aonghus 's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Quintillus controlling the pace for now.

Quintillus 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Quintillus is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Aonghus is surviving well by controlling Quintillus 's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quintillus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Quintillus engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Aonghus has momentary wrist control but Quintillus slips an elbow through the middle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Quintillus landing strikes from the mount and Aonghus is in trouble!


Jeez, Stian Aonghus 's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Stian Aonghus 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
