Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teemu Maijanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stelios Xenos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maijanen comes to the cage accompanied by Underwood - Gagarin . Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teemu Maijanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stelios Xenos!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maijanen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Xenos throws a low kick but it's checked well by Maijanen.
Xenos scores with a jab to the body.

and Maijanen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Xenos throws a strike but Maijanen avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Maijanen isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Xenos stacks Maijanen on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Xenos!

Xenos is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Xenos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maijanen, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Maijanen is working hard here to advance position.
Xenos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maijanen keeps working.
Maijanen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Xenos is staying active underneath Maijanen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A bone on bone clash there as Maijanen blocks the leg kick.
Maijanen shoots in but Xenos avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Maijanen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Xenos.
Xenos misses with a low kick.
Maijanen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Xenos.
Xenos is looking to chop away at Maijanen's legs.
Xenos slaps away a takedown attempt from Maijanen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Maijanen dives in and grabs Xenos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Xenos pushes down on Maijanen's head and hops out.

A punch lands to the side of Maijanen 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Xenos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Maijanen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Xenos won't be happy with that.
Maijanen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Xenos is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Maijanen content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The fighters circling - Xenos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Xenos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Xenos throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Maijanen checks the leg kick nicely there.
Maijanen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

A close second round but Stelios Xenos will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Xenos.
Maijanen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Xenos moves away.
Maijanen connects with a jab.
Stelios Xenos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Xenos throws a low kick but it's checked well by Maijanen.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Maijanen is rocked!
Maijanen gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Xenos gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
