Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Puska!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukamachi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fukamachi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Puska counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fukamachi with a poor takedown
and Puska counters with a nice uppercut.
Puska lands with an overhand left.
Puska jabs Fukamachi right on the nose. Fukamachi blinks but takes it well.
Puska connects with a nice looking jab.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sho Fukamachi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Puska shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Puska showed some decent athleticism there.
Fukamachi won't allow Puska to pass to mount.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Puska in particular looking to stall.

Puska wants to free his trapped foot but Fukamachi is holding on for dear life with his legs.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mike Puska hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Puska gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fukamachi to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fukamachi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Puska is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fukamachi is controlling him.

Fukamachi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Puska manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fukamachi has Puska in his guard.
Puska controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mike Puska wasn't active enough on the ground.

Puska lands a lovely overhand right.
Fukamachi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Puska counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fukamachi fails with the takedown
and Puska counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fukamachi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fukamachi drops his hands momentarily and Puska takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Fukamachi is breathing heavily.

A lazy left from Puska finds it's target.
Sho Fukamachi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puska lands with a nice combination. Fukamachi backs away looking to recover.


Fukamachi is rocked!
Fukamachi misses with a takedown
and Puska scores with a counter punch that sends Fukamachi to the canvas! Puska smells blood - he's punishing Fukamachi with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Fukamachi has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Puska!
