Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Arturo Gatti III!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stokenhizer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gatti III avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stokenhizer throws a head kick that misses.
Hanz Stokenhizer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stokenhizer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gatti III avoids the head kick by Stokenhizer.
Stokenhizer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gatti III. Stokenhizer does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Stokenhizer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Gatti III counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Gatti III lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Stokenhizer throws a sloppy head kick and Gatti III moves out of range easily.

and Gatti III counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Gatti III lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Stokenhizer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Stokenhizer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stokenhizer throws a head kick that misses.
Stokenhizer is breathing heavily.
Gatti III catches Stokenhizer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Stokenhizer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stokenhizer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gatti III scores with a hook to the body. Stokenhizer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gatti III's corner calls for a 1-2. Gatti III obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.


Stokenhizer is rocked!
Gatti III throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Oh Stokenhizer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice defenses there by Stokenhizer.
Stokenhizer seems to have got his legs back now.
Gatti III closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Stokenhizer! Gatti III dives in looking to finish! Stokenhizer is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arturo Gatti III!
