7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vonatletzin Askiban! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Junk! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Askiban pushes Junk up against the cage in a clinch. Askiban looks to throw an elbow but misses. Junk is trying to stall.
Junk being controlled against the cage. Junk is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Askiban is keeping busy. Junk prevents a body shot from Askiban. Junk decides to pull guard. Askiban is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Askiban drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Junk manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Askiban has Junk in his guard. Junk is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Askiban manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Junk scores with a punch to the head. Junk clinches up with Askiban and pushes him back against the cage. Junk is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Askiban just leaning against Junk, taking a breather. Junk blocks an uppercut.
Askiban misses with a short punch on the inside. Junk tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Askiban creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Askiban throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Askiban tries for a takedown but Junk manages to get underhooks.

Junk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Askiban walks away with a smile on his face. Junk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Askiban looks to clinch and Junk counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Junk has closed the distance and engaged Askiban in a clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Askiban just misses with a elbow thrown towards Junk's brow. Askiban creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Junk's defenses. Junk is fighting off a takedown attempt but Askiban is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Junk to the mat. Junk regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Junk managing to control the position. Junk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Askiban manages to get himself to full guard.
Junk works a leg free and moves into half guard. Askiban is trying to control but can't.
Junk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Askiban's head. Junk is looking for a kimura here.
Askiban is looking for a sweep. Junk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Askiban is breathing heavily. Junk is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Junk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Askiban pushes Junk off looking to stand but Junk dives back in and keeps control.
Junk wants to work for an arm triangle but Askiban is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Junk wants to take a breather but Askiban is having none of it. Junk is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Askiban! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Junk manages to capitalize on a mistake by Askiban to take his back! Junk is cranking Askiban's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Askiban! He's tightened the choke and Askiban is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Junk! Jack Junk retains his bantamweight title!
