The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gillmeister circles away quickly and effectively.
Gillmeister connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Gary Lee has been cut.
Gillmeister misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming.
Lee wants to clinch up but Gillmeister keeps it at a distance.

Sloppy strikes from Lee. Those never looked like landing.
Lee feints and then cracks Gillmeister's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gillmeister down.
Lee thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gillmeister if he has to take too many more of those.
Gary Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gillmeister uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lee.
Gillmeister drops Lee with a beautiful combination! Lee stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gillmeister is looking for the KO!
Lee is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gillmeister rattles Lee with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Lee tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Gillmeister dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Lee stiff and motionless on the mat!
