8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mickey LeBraun! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LeBraun moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Charles Ruiz has been cut. Ruiz drops LeBraun with a nice combination! Ruiz dives into LeBraun's guard, looking to finish!
LeBraun is rocked!
It looks like Mickey LeBraun has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ruiz wants to control from the top but LeBraun keeps moving. LeBraun is still in real trouble! Can Ruiz finish him? We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if LeBraun can do anything to dispel that myth. LeBraun seems to have recovered his senses. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ruiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ruiz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. LeBraun keeping moving, preventing Ruiz from controlling successfully.

We're going to have a standup here because Charles Ruiz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. LeBraun throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
LeBraun misses with a lunging right hand
and Ruiz counters with a nice kick to the body. LeBraun looks gassed! LeBraun slaps away a takedown attempt from Ruiz, before circling back to the center of the mat. LeBraun stuffs the takedown. Ruiz misses with a takedown attempt - LeBraun sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Ruiz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ruiz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mickey LeBraun is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ruiz is defended easily by LeBraun. LeBraun looks to throw the jab but Ruiz is out of range. Ruiz on the wrong end of a nice jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ruiz ducks under a wild hook from LeBraun. LeBraun looks to land a combination but Ruiz avoids it well. Ruiz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. LeBraun scores with a jab to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. LeBraun Rushes Ruiz and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Ruiz is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. LeBraun Piles on the pressure and Ruiz crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
