Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spartan Davis Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis Jr is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 311: I'll be here awhile. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwon clinches up with Davis Jr and pushes him back against the cage.
Come on Kwon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Davis Jr tries to break the clinch but Kwon is controlling the position.

Kwon bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Davis Jr's head backwards.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Davis Jr.
Kwon with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Davis Jr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kwon.
Kwon lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kwon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Davis Jr slips under a jab.
Davis Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kwon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Davis Jr counters with a two punch combo.
Kwon misses with a hook. Davis Jr ducked under it nicely.
Davis Jr connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Davis Jr fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kwon checks it well.
Davis Jr falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kwon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That has opened up Spartan Davis Jr's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kwon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jin Kwon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Spartan Davis Jr's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kwon looks to score with a jab to the body but Davis Jr is just out of range.

Kwon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Davis Jr at a distance.

Nice straight punches there by Kwon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kwon.
The cut above Spartan Davis Jr's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Davis Jr ducks under a wild hook from Kwon.

Kwon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Davis Jr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kwon throws out the jab.
Davis Jr on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jin Kwon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davis Jr tries to move into range but Kwon moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Davis Jr throws a low kick, looking for Kwon's leg but Kwon calmly moves out of range.
Davis Jr shoots in but no luck this time.
Kwon moves out of range of the body kick.
Davis Jr will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kwon cracks Davis Jr with a good jab.
Spartan Davis Jr's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Davis Jr tries to keep at a distance but Kwon has taken the fight into the clinch.
