Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mamed Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, White Kong! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kong is trying to get back to his feet. Silva content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Silva working the head and body with strikes. Kong taking a bit of punishment here - Silva scoring with strikes. Kong is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silva is controlling him well. Silva has hold of Kong's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kong tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Silva cranks the arm and Kong screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kong, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
