Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between frank diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamil Magomedov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, frank diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shamil Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like frank diaz has been cut.
diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Magomedov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Magomedov tries to avoid it but diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Magomedov to the ground. Magomedov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
diaz fails to land with a series of punches.
frank diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magomedov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from diaz.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for frank diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Magomedov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Magomedov lands in his opponent's guard.
Magomedov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as diaz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Magomedov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now diaz is on top in guard.
diaz trying to control but Magomedov is working from the bottom.

diaz thows a big elbow that misses.
Magomedov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Magomedov keeping moving, preventing diaz from controlling successfully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of frank diaz.
diaz throws the kick towards the body but Magomedov avoids it.
Magomedov looks to land a combination but diaz avoids it well.
Magomedov misses with a double jab
and diaz counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
diaz wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
diaz fails to pull guard.
diaz throws a knee to the head but misses.
diaz tries to break free but Magomedov pushes him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Magomedov lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Magomedov manages to break the clinch.
Magomedov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around diaz's waist but diaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Magomedov off to one side.
diaz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Magomedov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
diaz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Magomedov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Magomedov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before diaz has time to react.
diaz is rocked!
Magomedov looks gassed!
Magomedov wobbles diaz with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Magomedov dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts diaz to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shamil Magomedov!
