The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joern tries to clinch but Lawrie is having none of it.
Lawrie keeps the fight on the outside.
Joern misses with a jab, cross combination.
Joern tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lawrie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Joern wants to clinch.
Joern plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Lawrie gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Lawrie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Joern tries to clinch but Lawrie moves away
and Lawrie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Joern's guard.

Lawrie is pushing down on Joern's leg trying to pass to half guard. Joern is fighting to maintain full guard but Lawrie has managed to sneak the leg through.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Joern wants to improve his position but Lawrie is controlling well.
