Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Gander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Elbuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pierre Gander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammed Elbuz! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elbuz lands a really nice looking cross but Gander seems unphased.
Elbuz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gander blocks a head kick by Elbuz.
Elbuz gets tackled into the cage by Gander. Gander maintains the clinch. The referee calls for Gander to work.
Elbuz working hard to break the clinch. Gander is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gander jumps into guard, dragging Elbuz to the mat.
Elbuz wants to stand and escape but instead Gander has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Elbuz is striking off his back. Gander thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gander wants to lay and pray for a moment but Elbuz keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elbuz trying to get back to full guard but Gander takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Gander lands a big elbow. Elbuz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gander throws some wild stikes that Elbuz manages to avoid easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gander cracks Elbuz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gander trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elbuz is in a horrible position here. Gander smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! BOOM! Gander connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Elbuz is squirming around, avoiding Gander's attempts to control the action. Elbuz looks gassed! Gander is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Elbuz is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Elbuz flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gander anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Elbuz and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gander slips an arm under Elbuz chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gander has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gander is squeezing on Elbuz like an anaconda would it's prey. Elbuz fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Pierre Gander!
