Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fidel Castroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dew Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Fidel Castroy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dew Rain!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rain drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Rain has gone for a leg lock! Castroy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rain's guard.

Rain isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Castroy stacks Rain on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Castroy!
Castroy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rain on the ground.
Rain is looking to regain half guard here but Castroy keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Castroy is looking to clinch but Rain is avoiding it.
Rain shoots for a double leg takedown but Castroy sprawls well. He's pushed Rain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

It looks like Dew Rain has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Horrible takedown by Rain or perhaps it was just good defense by Castroy which made him look bad.
Rain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Castroy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rain has time to react.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rain can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rain is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Castroy avoids the attempt from Rain to control.
Castroy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rain is looking to escape.
Castroy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rain can do to turn this around?
Rain is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rain sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Rain wants to improve his position but Castroy is controlling well.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fidel Castroy.
I think Castroy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
