PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Remigiusz Klajn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herp Derp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Derp's choice of entrance music: Sick of You. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Derp fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Klajn, pushing him back against the cage.
Klajn throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Derp blocks it with crossed arms.

Derp pulls guard.
Derp has a closed guard, preventing Klajn from standing up.

Klajn stands up and waves to Derp to follow him.
Klajn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Derp avoids it really well and circles away.
Klajn pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Derp clinches with his opponent.
Klajn tries for a takedown but Derp manages to get underhooks.
Derp tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Derp displaying some good clinch control by pressing Klajn up against the cage.

Derp has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Klajn regains guard immediately.
Derp tries to stand but Klajn is controlling from the bottom.
Derp is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Derp won't allow Klajn to sweep him here.
Derp wanted to stand there but Klajn had control of the position.
Klajn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Klajn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Derp can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Klajn is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Klajn throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Derp has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Klajn is proving hard to escape from.

Klajn has his foot on Derp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Derp works his way back into a safe position though.
Derp must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Klajn controls Derp momentarily but Derp frees himself.
Klajn has Derp pulled in close to control his posture.
Klajn preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Klajn kicks Derp off and gets to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sloppy strikes from Klajn. Those never looked like landing.
Klajn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Klajn wants to clinch but Derp slips to the side

and Derp decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Klajn's guard.
Derp looks gassed!

Klajn looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Derp is defending well. Klajn quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Derp has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Klajn celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
