Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Bowron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowron comes into the arena with Pow blaring out of the sound system. Ross Bowron has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Bowron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Silva! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva misses with a double jab
so Bowron counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bowron wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Bowron wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Bowron lands a couple of decent looking shots. Bowron looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Silva wants to get up but he can't break Bowron's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowron has Silva pulled in close to control his posture. Silva is looking to stand up but Bowron won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bowron is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bowron seems keen to control Silva's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowron wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We're going to have a standup here because Ross Bowron wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bowron scores with a nice right hand.
Silva misses with a kick to the body.
Silva moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Bowron slips a jab and a cross from Silva.
Bowron scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Bowron moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bowron gets the takedown into side control. Bowron decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet. Bowron fails in his attempt to clinch. Bowron tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab. Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Silva missing with a left hand there. Bowron was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Silva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bowron decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bowron thows a big elbow that misses. Bowron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bowron with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ross Bowron dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Bowron counters with a takedown into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth. Bowron postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
A lull in the action here. Bowron wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Bowron has knee on belly and moves into mount. Bowron controlling from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowron punching from mount but Silva doing a good job of avoiding damage. Bowron can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape. Bowron unloads with some shots from mount but Silva bucks and avoids them well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bowron misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Bowron has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bowron goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silva turns into him and now he's in Bowron's guard.
Bowron manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowron darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bowron is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now. Bowron controlling the action here. Bowron lands strikes from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowron is looking for a kimura here.

Ross Bowron dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Silva misses with a combination
and Bowron counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Bowron to acknowledge the strikes. Bowron tries to clinch but fails miserably and Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bowron is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bowron tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance. Bowron feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Bowron changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bowron tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard. Bowron controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowron trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva keeping full guard, as Bowron tries to pass. Bowron's corner is telling him to maintain position. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bowron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ross Bowron has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Bowron is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bowron punishes Silva's body with a nice straight punch. Ross Bowron is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silva throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bowron. A decent looking cross lands there for Silva. Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowron shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bowron wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bowron. Bowron looking to control but Silva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Silva wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bowron.
Bowron lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowron wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely. Bowron thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Bowron can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape. Jake Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bowron looking for a guillotine from mount but Silva is having none of it. Bowron trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ross Bowron is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ross Bowron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
And that's the end of the fight! Ross Bowron showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bowron, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
