Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Austin Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremiah Exvanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by This Calling. Exvanderson has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Austin Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeremiah Exvanderson! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Exvanderson tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it. Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Horrible takedown by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Exvanderson which made him look bad. Exvanderson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lee counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Lee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lee wants to work for an arm triangle but Exvanderson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Exvanderson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Exvanderson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lee is working away from the top position though. Lee is breathing heavily. Lee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Exvanderson tries to roll over but Lee keeps him under control. Lee is working for a kimura but Exvanderson is defending it quite comfortably.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Exvanderson takes the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Exvanderson trying to stall but Lee improves his position.

Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Exvanderson's waist but Exvanderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side. Exvanderson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Exvanderson lands a head kick!
Exvanderson throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease. Exvanderson scores with a head kick.
Exvanderson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Exvanderson clinches but Lee breaks the clinch and Lee counters with a solid body kick. Exvanderson moves into range and clinches up with Lee. Lee has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Exvanderson is trying to keep an underhook but Lee manages to get the takedown into half guard. Lee wants to pass the guard but Exvanderson is defending well. Lee not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Exvanderson tries to kick Lee off but Lee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Exvanderson wants to control but Lee is keeping busy.
Lee is pressing down on Exvanderson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Exvanderson is holding on for now. Lee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Exvanderson wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lee clinches up with Exvanderson and pushes him back against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Lee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Exvanderson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Austin Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee wants the takedown. Exvanderson is fighting it off but Lee persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Exvanderson's guard against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee throws a big right hand that misses. Lee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Exvanderson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lee stopping the sweep attempt from Exvanderson. Lee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Exvanderson is on top in guard.
Exvanderson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Lee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Exvanderson wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. Lee working for a triangle but Exvanderson defends it easily.
Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Exvanderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Lee is tightening it up a little... Exvanderson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Exvanderson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Exvanderson taps out! nice BJJ there by Lee!
