The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

wakelyn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
wakelyn working over Bongo with some ground and pound. Bongo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Bongo makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Bongo tries for a takedown but wakelyn circles away easily

and wakelyn counters by moving into the clinch.

Bongo is looking to break free of the clinch but wakelyn has double underhooks.
wakelyn really is a fat lump.
Bongo tries to pull guard but wakelyn won't allow it.

wakelyn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bongo regains guard immediately.
wakelyn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
wakelyn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bongo on the ground.
Bongo keeping full guard, as wakelyn tries to pass.
wakelyn looking to sit in guard and control but Bongo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
wakelyn wants to stand but Bongo is controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bongo passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Bongo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Bongo is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Bongo extends the arm and wakelyn is forced to tap!
