Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn MacArthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Bronson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn MacArthur! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacArthur staying out of range there. Bronson takes the fight into the clinch. Bronson can't break the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Bronson breaks the clinch.
Bronson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by MacArthur. Bronson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bronson throws the left hand but MacArthur avoids the punch easily. Bronson throws a jab but it's blocked by MacArthur. MacArthur shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bronson napping and manages to drive through into side control! MacArthur is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bronson has escaped the position, nice work there. MacArthur tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no MacArthur has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! MacArthur looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but MacArthur wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. MacArthur tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no MacArthur has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! MacArthur working away. Bronson wants to get back to his feet but MacArthur drags him back down. MacArthur trying to control the position but Bronson is working away. Bronson is looking to regain half guard here but MacArthur keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bronson parries the strikes from MacArthur easily there. MacArthur is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bronson to escape.
MacArthur trying to control the action but Bronson is working from the bottom. Bronson tries to bench press MacArthur off him but MacArthur keeps the position. Bronson is working hard here to advance position. MacArthur throwing strikes but Bronson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Bronson wants to stand but MacArthur is controlling his arm. Bronson wants to control but MacArthur is keeping him busy. Bronson working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacArthur might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bronson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Shawn MacArthur was stalling too much, according to the referee. Bronson stuns MacArthur with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. MacArthur looks gassed! Bronson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bronson in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MacArthur missing with punches from the bottom.
Bronson throwing shots but MacArthur is blocking nicely. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! MacArthur is trying to maintain the position but Bronson is very close to passing his half guard. Bronson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. MacArthur tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bronson jabs at MacArthur's body. MacArthur shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bronson counters with a stiff right hand. MacArthur takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bronson lands an overhand right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Bronson dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Bronson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Bronson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Bronson connects with a looping right hand.
Bronson misses with a body kick. Bronson with a jab. Bronson with a nice cross. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bronson with a nice cross. MacArthur doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bronson counters with a nice uppercut.
MacArthur is rocked! Bronson gets in close and tags MacArthur with a short punch that almost sends MacArthur to the mat! Oh MacArthur is in big trouble! He turns his back on Bronson, trying to create some distance but Bronson rushes him, striking wildly and MacArthur goes down! The referee tackles Bronson into the cage to end the fight! Bronson is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Bronson!
