Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Frey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phil Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Frey!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frey takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Davis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Frey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Davis connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Frey's hands.
Davis just misses with a punch to the body.
Frey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Frey staying out of range there.
Davis connects with a jab.
Davis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frey manages to avoid it.
Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davis lands a nice shot to the head.
Frey tries to hold on but Davis pushes him away.
Frey working to try and regain half guard.
Davis punching from mount but Frey doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Davis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Frey because Davis loaded up on that one.
Frey wants to control but Davis is having none of it.
Davis unloading with bombs!

Frey regains half guard.
Davis working Frey over with strikes.
Frey trying to hold on to Davis's head to control him but Davis postures up.
Davis throwing shots but Frey is blocking nicely.
Davis is nestled in close to Frey, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Frey looks gassed!
Davis is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Frey is trying to maintain the position but Davis is very close to passing his half guard.
Frey avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Davis.
Davis not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Frey trying to control from the bottom.
Davis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Davis thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Frey to regain full guard.
Frey is trying to control the position but Davis postures up.
Davis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Frey works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Frey utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Davis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Frey has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.

Davis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Davis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Davis throws a big right hand that misses.
Davis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Frey is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davis loads up on a big left hand. Frey felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Davis looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Frey can't hide his disappointment, as Davis celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Davis!
