Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis's entrance music is Cry For the Moon - Epica. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jamal Reis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robbie Lawler! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawler throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Reis counters with a straight right hand. Lawler throws a combination that misses letting Reis counter with a right hand. Reis slips a straight right by Lawler. Lawler defending well as Reis loads up on a big left hand. Reis takes one to the side of the head.
Lawler throws a lazy uppercut
and Reis counters with a stiff right hand. Lawler gets tackled into the ropes by Reis. Reis maintains the clinch. Lawler has had enough of the clinch but Reis keeps him there for the moment. Reis stalling in the clinch.
Lawler wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reis has him pressed against the ropes. Reis is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Lawler is trying to break the clinch but Reis has him pressed against the ropes. Lawler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Reis is working Lawler over against the ropes. Reis keeps control of Lawler as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Reis lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Reis lands a body shot. A frustrated look appears on Lawler's face as he tries to break the clinch. Reis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lawler throws a left and a right that both miss
and Reis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Lawler is looking to break free of the clinch but Reis has double underhooks. Knees in the clinch landing for Reis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawler wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Lawler is trying to break the clinch but Reis is controlling him. Reis breaks the clinch.
Lawler throws an off balance right hand
and Reis counters by clinching up. Lawler takes an elbow to the forehead. Reis is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Lawler is trying to push Reis away but Reis has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Reis scores with an uppercut up the middle. Lawler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lawler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Reis lands an elbow that stopped Lawler in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Robbie Lawler has been cut. Reis creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lawler's defenses. Reis displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lawler up against the ropes. Reis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lawler throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Reis to counter with a crisp jab. Lawler misses with a combination
and Reis counters with a straight right hand. Reis tests Lawler's chin there with a solid looking shot. Reis lands a jab-cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawler throws a poor cross that misses
and Reis counters with a left to the body. Reis misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lawler counters with a two punch combo. Lawler misses with a hook
letting Reis counter with a right hand. Lawler misses with a double jab
and Reis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lawler thinking. Reis has Lawler up against the ropes in a clinch.
Reis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reis with a body punch. A glancing blow. Lawler looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lawler misses with a lunging right hand
and Reis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reis closes the distance and lands a one-two. Reis lands a jab to the nose. Reis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Lawler wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Lawler is trying to force a seperation but Reis has the dominant position. Reis is looking to control Lawler's arms but Lawler gets an underhook and turns him. Now Reis has his back to the ropes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lawler misses with a hook to the body
letting Reis counter with a right hand. Reis closes the distance and pushes Lawler back into the ropes. Lawler breaks the clinch.
Reis connects with a looping right hand.
Lawler moves forwards but Reis connects with a nice, crisp jab. Lawler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Reis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lawler is rocked! Lawler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Reis counters with a crisp right that sends Lawler to the canvas! Reis follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
