Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tim Sham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mustafa Guerro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guerro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sham sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sham closes the distance and clinches. Guerro wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sham is looking to control Guerro's arms but Guerro gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sham has his back to the cage. Sham tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Guerro just stands there and leans against the cage. Guerro effectively controlling the action here. Guerro working hard to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sham jumps guard but Guerro stands there with Sham around his waist. Sham gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Guerro drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sham gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sham works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Guerro keeping moving, preventing Sham from controlling successfully. Guerro is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sham tries to free his leg and advance position but Guerro is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guerro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Guerro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sham defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sham showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Sham trying to control but Guerro is working from the bottom. Guerro working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sham. Shamis looking to pass into half guard but Guerro pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Guerro is in guard. Guerro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sham looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sham looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sham! Sham trying to control the action but Guerro is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sham taking a breather here. Sham tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sham gets to mount! Guerro was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sham trying to control but Guerro is having none of it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Guerro is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Guerro is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Guerro is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Guerro blocking the ground and pound. Guerro is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sham working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Guerro looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Sham! Submission of the night perhaps?
