Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Bombay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Remy Martin! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bombay shoots in and drives through. Martin sprawls well. Martin tries for a takedown but Bombay circles away easily and Bombay counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Martin looks gassed! Bombay thows a huge punch but Martin dodges it nicely.
Bombay throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bombay seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bombay is pressing down on Martin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Martin is holding on for now. Bombay not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Martin is trying to control but can't.
Martin is refusing to be controlled, as Bombay sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bombay trying to mount his opponent but Martin defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bombay pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bombay tries for a takedown but Martin circles away easily and Martin counters with a shoot takedown. Bombay fights it but they end up in guard. Bombay has control of Martin's left arm, preventing Martin from doing any damage. Bombay wants to sweep here but Martin controlling him for the moment. Bombay is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Luke Bombay wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bombay misses with a takedown and Martin counters with a single leg into guard. Bombay didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Bombay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Martin stays in close to Bombay's body and controls the position. Bombay bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Martin's guard. Martin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Bombay keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Martin prevents Bombay from standing back up.
Bombay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bombay tries to get out of the position. Bombay is trying to control but Martin manages to pass to mount!
Bombay wants to control but Martin is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Remy Martin dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bombay takes the fight into the clinch. Martin tries to score a body lock takedown but Bombay shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Martin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bombay prevents it.

Bombay throws a head kick that misses and Martin counters with a nice double leg into guard. Martin is fighting to break Bombay's control of his arms but Bombay is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bombay is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martin is aware though and is defending well. Bombay keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully. Martin is breathing heavily.

Bombay punching from mount but Martin doing a good job of avoiding damage. Bombay is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Martin has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bombay is looking to stand but Bombay has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bombay controlling from mount. Martin tries to hold on but Bombay postures up. Bombay wants to finish this one by submission but Martin is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bombay. Bombay looking for a guillotine from mount but Martin is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bombay thowing shots but they're missing. Bombay controlling from mount. Bombay punching from mount but Martin doing a good job of avoiding damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Luke Bombay will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Bombay throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Martin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bombay moves into the clinch. Bombay tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Martin smiles and moves away.
Bombay tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Martin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Bombay shoots in looking for a takedown but Martin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bombay's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bombay changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martin tries to avoid it but Bombay manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martin to the ground. Martin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Bombay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Martin fails with the takedown and Bombay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Martin's guard. Bombay trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bombay thows a big elbow that misses. Bombay knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Martin on the ground. Bombay trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bombay trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Remy Martin has got the better of the ground game so far. Bombay wants to get up but he can't break Martin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bombay trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bombay scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Bombay shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Martin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bombay trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bombay decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Martin, up you get! Martin moves out of range as Bombay throws a body kick.
Bombay wants to clinch up but Martin keeps it at a distance. Bombay is looking to clinch but Martin is avoiding it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bombay holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Bombay breaks from the clinch.
Bombay lands a two punch combo.
Bombay misses with a head kick.
Luke Bombay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bombay lands with a shot to the body. Horrible takedown by Bombay or perhaps it was just good defense by Martin which made him look bad. Bombay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bombay works on Martin's body with a couple of short punches. Bombay wants to break free but Martin has control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Bombay tries to pull guard but Martin won't allow it.

Martin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bombay is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Martin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bombay is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Martin to the mat. Martin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Bombay wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving. Bombay tries to free his leg and advance position but Martin is retaining full guard. Bombay trying to stand up but can't free himself from Martin's guard. Bombay has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bombay throws a big right hand that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Bombay showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bombay has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
