The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy tries a head kick but it misses.
Hardy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Winchester shoots in looking for a takedown. Hardy tries to sprawl out of it but Winchester keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hardy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hardy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Winchester on the side of the head.

It looks like Dan Winchester has been cut.
Hardy jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Hardy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dan Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Winchester shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Winchester showed some decent athleticism there.
Winchester is trying to control the action in half guard but Hardy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Winchester is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hardy tries to kick Winchester off but Winchester keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hardy is breathing heavily.
