The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wheeler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chiba takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wheeler misses with an uppercut
and Chiba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wheeler throws a poor cross that misses
and Chiba counters with a nice right hand that sends Wheeler toppling to the canvas! Wheeler scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Chiba finish him?!
It looks like Anson Wheeler has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

enabling Chiba to counter with a crisp jab.
Anson Wheeler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wheeler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chiba counters with a big right hand! Oh Wheeler is in trouble here! Chiba follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
