Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Freeman! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nash decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nash thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Nash not landing any meaningful shots this time. Freeman is looking to escape. Nash thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Freeman's head. Nash working over Freeman with some ground and pound. Freeman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nash throwing shots but Freeman is blocking nicely. Nash is looking to work some ground and pound but Freeman has wrist control. Nash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Freeman works some decent striking defense from the bottom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nash is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nash postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Freeman looks a forlorn figure.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nash lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rick Nash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nash controlling his opponent. Nash unloading with bombs! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nash looking to finish Freeman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Freeman! Nash drops a big elbow. That's hurt Freeman! More shots from Nash and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
