Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blaine Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DaMarcus Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saint has chosen General Public - Tenderness as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blaine Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DaMarcus Saint! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone with a poor takedown letting Saint counter with a right hand. DaMarcus Saint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stone throws a big shot that misses. Saint throws the kick towards the body but Stone avoids it. Saint looks to score with a jab to the body but Stone is just out of range. Jab, jab by Stone - just one landing. Saint gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stone to score an easy takedown into full guard. Saint is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stone chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone throws a big right hand that misses. Stone trying to control but Saint is working from the bottom. Saint working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stone. Saint looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stone is one step ahead there. Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Saint is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Stone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Saint is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stone, into his guard. Stone looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Saint passes into half guard.
Stone looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone wants to get back to full guard. Stone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Saint is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Saint prevents Stone from improving his position. Stone is concentrating on defense, preventing Saint from advancing position. Stone tries to get to full guard but Saint has control of the leg. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Saint is taking a breather. Stone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Blaine Stone will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Saint tries to clinch up but Stone circles away and keeps his distance. Nice defenses there by Saint. Saint scores with a crisp jab that stopped Stone in his tracks. Saint falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand. The fight stays on the outside here - Saint looks like he's thinking about clinching though. That kick from Saint tenderised Stone's leg. Stone is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saint wants to clinch. Stone checks a leg kick nicely. Saint misses with a low kick. Stone shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Stone throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Saint because Stone loaded up on that one. Saint holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Stone tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Stone jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Saint manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Saint sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Stone sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Saint is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Stone wants to control but Saint is keeping him busy. Stone misses with the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone tries to score with some ground and pound. Saint controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Stone looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Stone wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Saint, who protects the arm well. Stone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Stone working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Saint wants to control but Stone postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stone throws a strike aimed at the side of Saint's head but Saint avoids it well. The ground and pound from Stone seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but DaMarcus Saint will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Stone misses with an uppercut. Saint slips a jab from Stone. Stone misses with a left hand and Saint counters with a solid body kick. Saint throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Blaine Stone has been cut. Stone walks into a straight right hand from Saint. Stone fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Saint scores with a leg kick.
Stone on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone misses with a takedown attempt - Saint sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Saint fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stone. Saint is looking to clinch. Saint is looking to slow Stone down with leg kicks. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Stone takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Saint feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stone's calf. Saint has managed to clinch.
Saint is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Stone has Saint pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Saint manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blaine Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saint scores a nice knee to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saint landing knees to the head.
Saint digs a right hand underneath Stone's ribcage. Stone let out a lung full of air as it connected. Saint lands an elbow inside that Stone shrugs off. A hook to the body from Saint.
Saint lands with a light punch inside. Saint with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Saint landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Stone takes a knee to the side of the body. Saint lands a nice knee to the body. Saint putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Stone in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Saint takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Saint lands a good knee to the midsection. Stone won't want to take too many of those. Saint stalls. Saint with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Stone tries to score a body lock takedown but Saint shows good agility there to stay on his feet. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Saint lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Saint lands a nice uppercut. Saint leaning his opponent against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saint receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Stone takes a knee right on the jaw!
A short body shot lands from Saint as the two fighters clinch.
Stone is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Saint gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Saint scores with a knee to the head.
Saint scores with a hook to the body. Saint crunches a lovely knee into Stone's ribcage. Knees in the clinch landing for Saint.
Saint scores with a shoulder strike. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Saint. Saint digs a right hand underneath Stone's ribcage. Stone let out a lung full of air as it connected. Saint prevents the takedown attempt.
Saint lands with a right to the head. Stone's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Stone takes a knee right on the jaw!
Stone is trying to drag Saint to the mat but Saint just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Saint landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Saint lands a nice knee to the body. Saint lands a nice uppercut. Stone being controlled against the cage. DaMarcus Saint seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Saint unloads a knee to the mid-section. Stone lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Stone looking for a takedown. Saint landing knees to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stone wants a takedown but no success here.

And that's the end of the fight! DaMarcus Saint comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Saint has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
