Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bennie Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bennie Walker!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Walker has managed to clinch.
Davidson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Walker prevents a takedown attempt there.
Davidson can't break the clinch.

Walker jumps guard.
Walker wants to stand but Davidson is controlling the position.
Davidson working some strikes from top position.
Walker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davidson is one step ahead there.
Walker wants to get back to his feet but Davidson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Davidson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Walker's head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Walker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Davidson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Davidson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Walker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Walker moves into range and clinches up with Davidson.

Davidson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Walker regains guard.
Davidson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Walker pushes Davidson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Crunch! Davidson slams his shin into Walker's torso.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

and Walker counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Davidson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Davidson doesn't manage to clinch there - Walker circles away.

Walker scores with a kick to the midsection.

Davidson prevents the takedown attempt.
Davidson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Walker just stands there and leans against the cage.
Walker is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Davidson is keeping busy.
Walker digs a right hand into Davidson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Davidson's gas tank.

Walker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Walker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Davidson is trying to keep an underhook but Walker manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Davidson shoots for a double leg takedown but Walker sprawls well. He's pushed Davidson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Walker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Davidson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Davidson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
