Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rob Snitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Takiki Jr!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snitch doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Takiki Jr counters with a straight right hand.
Snitch tries for a takedown but Takiki Jr circles away easily
and Takiki Jr counters with a straight right hand.
Takiki Jr throws a front kick aimed at Snitch's knee but Snitch avoids it well.
A chopping leg kick lands by Takiki Jr.
Snitch fails with the takedown
and Takiki Jr makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Snitch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snitch shoots for a takedown but Takiki Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Takiki Jr lands a head kick. Snitch smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Rob Snitch has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Snitch moves out of range as Takiki Jr strikes.
Takiki Jr lets loose with a powerful body kick. Snitch will feel that in the morning.
Snitch is breathing heavily.
Snitch takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Takiki Jr lands a big head kick that sends Snitch tumbling to the mat! Takiki Jr takes a step backwards and waves Snitch back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Snitch is rocked!
Snitch on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takiki Jr. Takiki Jr obviously looking to wear him down.
Takiki Jr keeps Snitch at a distance using the push kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Takiki Jr lands a big uppercut and Snitch crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Snitch looks OK. Takiki Jr waves Snitch back to his feet!
Oh Snitch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takiki Jr thows a body kick. Snitch tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Snitch seems to have got his legs back now.
Snitch has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takiki Jr.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A solid leg kick lands there for Takiki Jr.
Takiki Jr throws a head kick that half lands.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Takiki Jr throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Snitch is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
