The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice defenses there by Plumbtree.
Plumbtree throws a head kick but Sims moves out of range.
Plumbtree throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sims's waist but Sims gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Plumbtree off to one side.
Plumbtree defending well as Sims loads up on a big left hand.
Sims looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mortimer Plumbtree seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plumbtree tries to sprawl but Sims drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Sims has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Plumbtree defend it? Sims steps over the head and cranks it - Plumbtree is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sims!
