Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Velasquez getting side control.

Velasquez is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Velasquez tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Velasquez wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Velasquez sits in half guard.
Velasquez slips a nice elbow through Jackson's hands, connecting with Jackson's forehead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Velasquez is trying to control. Jackson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Velasquez scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Velasquez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Velasquez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Velasquez lands a nice short elbow.

Velasquez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

It looks like Velasquez is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velasquez wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well.

Jackson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Velasquez scores with a couple of nice shots.
Velasquez is looking to advance position but Jackson won't allow it.

Velasquez lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Jackson! More strikes land and this one is all over! Velasquez jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
