Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artur Nowak!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rua as he avoids it easily.
Nowak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rua can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nowak controls the pace.
Rua is looking to stand up but Nowak isn't so interested in that idea.

Rua jabs Nowak to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Nowak looks for a takedown but Rua sprawls well.

Rua fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nowak avoids it really well and circles away.
Nowak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rua tries to avoid it but Nowak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rua to the ground. Rua escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rua shoots in and drives through. Nowak sprawls well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Nowak counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rua won't be happy with that.

Nowak is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rua is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Nowak is working Rua over with some ground and pound from side control.
You can see the frustration on Rua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Nowak swings around for an armbar but Rua sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nowak's guard.

Nowak is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rua is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nowak lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Rua is in a horrible position here. Nowak smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nowak has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Rua is in real trouble here. Nowak gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Rua is tapping out! Nowak wins by rear naked choke!
