Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Angel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey Knish! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angel throws a head kick that misses and Knish decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Angel's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Angel trying to keep a closed guard but Knish is proving a slippery customer.
Knish must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Angel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knish can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Knish seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Angel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knish defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knish wants to pass the guard but Angel is keeping the position. Knish got a little sloppy there for a moment and Angel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knish has managed to get both his arms back between Angel's legs - danger averted. Angel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Angel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Knish gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Knish.

Angel is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Knish scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Michael Angel has been cut. A chopping leg kick lands by Knish. Knish drops Angel with a big left hand! Angel is injured, injured bad! Knish jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
