Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cass Pennant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Maginnis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pennant comes to the ring accompanied by I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles. Mike Maginnis struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Pennant lands a high kick!
Pennant scores with a head kick. Maginnis tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Maginnis tries to clinch but Pennant moves away
and Pennant counters with an outside leg kick.
Maginnis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pennant can pounce on him.
Maginnis tries to clinch up
and Pennant makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Pennant counters with an outside leg kick.

and Pennant counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Maginnis takes a kick to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maginnis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pennant makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Maginnis really felt that one!
Maginnis looks gassed!
Pennant goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Maginnis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pennant. Pennant obviously looking to wear him down.
Pennant lands a big head kick that sends Maginnis tumbling to the mat! Pennant takes a step backwards and waves Maginnis back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Maginnis is rocked!
BOOM! Pennant lands a beautiful left hook that drops Maginnis. Maginnis tries to recover but Pennant is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Maginnis lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
